Busking

our favorite gig

The Secondhand Street Band can often be found making noise and dancing vigorously out on Royal Street in the French Quarter. One block riverside of Bourbon Street, Royal is home to many buskers - a word which here means 'disillusioned members of society' - and is a rich ecosystem comprised of musicians, poets, human statues, magicians, panhandlers, debutants, and wise elders.

Our appearances are without strict regulation, you'd be most likely to find us busking Thursday-Monday between 11am-3pm, or from the early evening deep into the night. If you're ever in town and want to catch the show, shoot us a message on facebook and we'll try to keep you in the loop.
